Splitting his formative years between London and Johannesburg, OPKIX Co-Founder and C.E.O. C. Lawrence “LG” Greaves actually first made his mark on the business world upon settling in Southern California during 2005. He planted roots in Orange County at the age of 22 and started a consulting firm that would be acquired by a national firm. Elected to the company’s leadership team, he stood out as the youngest leader in the firm’s history. 2008 saw him co-found ETONIEN at 25-years-old.

The financial consulting practice specialized in assisting pre-IPO companies with accounting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting, while also serving private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies by restructuring management. ETONIEN blossomed into a respected national firm that hired over 800 employees since its inception with offices all over the U.S.

“It’s the American dream,” he smiles. “I was very fortunate to be in this situation from a young age. I knew that this was the country where if you were willing to work harder than your competition, you could unequivocally succeed.”

As ETONIEN achieved success, his entrepreneurial spirit drove him to become a board advisor and shareholder for various businesses as well as an active venture investor whose portfolio encompasses technology, hardware, real estate, bio-technology, and more. Adept at augmenting revenue growth, marketing, capital formation, and fundraising, he started as one of the first three investors and assumed the role of C.E.O. for OPKIX in late 2016, raising a seed round of $675K at a $10 million valuation; a Series A of $5.4 million at an $88.5 million pre-money valuation; and a Series B of $5.7 million at a $200 million pre-money valuation.

So what drew him to OPKIX?

“It’s more than a camera company,” he explains. “The camera is just our initial point of introduction to a consumer. What you can do with the content captured with our devices inside of our app is where the excitement grabs me. There’s a social component. You’re catching up with a friend from a different country or meeting new people worldwide. Looking at the upside potential of this combination of hardware, software, and social was beyond thrilling to me. It was the exact right time in my life cycle and where the world was to put all of these things together.”

When he’s not overseeing OPKIX, you can find Greaves spending as much time as possible with his wife of 10 years and two children or participating in one of many charities.

OPKIX Co-Founder and VP Product/Mobile Application Tamio Stehrenberger has long clung to a deep passion for technology. It became so fervent that he eventually transitioned from professional hockey and owning and operating a luxury automobile leasing company to opening his own app and tech firm Rêve Technologies, Inc. in 2013.

“It’s something that I felt like I could truly build a future off of,” he explains. “I’ll always love hockey and cars, but tech really clicked with me. I learned as much as I could and dove right into it.”

During his childhood in Santa Barbara, the Southern California native spent much of his time on the ice.

“It might be surprising that there’s so much ice hockey here, but there truly is,” he assures with a laugh.

Eventually, he became an Academic and Athletic All-American while studying Business at Brigham Young University and continued to play professionally for the Utah Grizzlies. Ever the entrepreneur, he opened Luxe Exotic Group and led the company from 2005 through 2008.

Steering the ship at Rêve 2013-2015 as C.E.O., he would drive the creation, launch, and introduction of countless apps in addition to a children’s consumer product, KinderKall. Rêve became acquired, and Tamio consulted for a myriad of companies—notably collaborating on a banking app backed by CitiBank.

However, OPKIX represented the ultimate job for him.

“I’m so excited for everything we’ve got coming up,” he leaves off. “I really think this can be a game-changer. The door is wide open for innovation.”

A product visionary, serial entrepreneur, event guru, and marketing impresario, Shahin Amirpour remains renowned for many innovations in the entertainment, recreation, sports, and lifestyle realms. However, he stepped into what he describes as his “dream job” in 2016 as OPKIX Co-Founder, Chief Business Development Officer, and President.

Like many indispensable inventions, he conceived the flagship OPKIX camera to solve a perceived problem…

“I was snowboarding with some friends, and the idea came to me,” he recalls. “My camera couldn’t hold a charge. My buddy’s camera malfunctioned. My other friend decided to hold his phone in front of his face while he was riding—which is never a good idea. When we got back to the car, I thought about how cool it would be to connect a camera to your phone and wear it inconspicuously. The next day, OPKIX was born.”

That tireless sense of initiative and ability to maneuver at lightspeed has defined his entire career. Barely out of college, he launched one of the most sought-after events firms in Southern California, 1 Source Productions. He went on to book immersive experiential events for the likes of Red Bull, Skechers, Hugo Boss, The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and many more. Ahead of the curve in the electronic dance music world, he became a tastemaker through his early alignment with the hottest DJs, hosting the first-ever DJ Induction at The Hard Rock with Paul Oakenfold, and co-producing the 2003 documentary Put the Needle on the Record.

His acumen extended to products as 1 Source Products simultaneously came to life. Meeting the demand of a burgeoning alternative recreational consumer vertical, he engineered, distributed, and marketed Hot Box Vapors in addition to eventually acquiring Smelly Proof Bags—sold in U.S. National Parks and on QVC. Soon, 1 Source Products encompassed 19 brands in its distribution network featured in over 2,500 storefronts.

However, OPKIX speaks to all of his passions.

“It’s everything I’ve always hoped for in a company,” he explains. “It’s a product that brings people together in a new way. That’s exciting to me.”

Outside of all things OPKIX, Shahin is a devoted husband, family man, and father.

Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer

Growing up with a camera always in his hand, it’s no surprise that OPKIX Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer Ryan M. Fuller quickly earned the nickname “Filming Fuller” in the Orange County, CA neighborhood where he grew up.

“My mom got me my first VHS camcorder when I was 14-years-old,” he recalls. “I’ve been filming everything that I possibly could since then. It inspired my whole career.”

He went from capturing skateboarding and snowboarding videos and photos of his buddies to eventually landing a high-profile gig at Oakley. During his tenure at the brand, he created videos starring some of the world’s most illustrious skateboarding, surfing, BMX, and UFC athletes. 2004 saw Ryan go independent as an adept, astute, and adaptable creative. Throughout the next decade-plus, he cemented himself as an award-winning content authority, designer, creative strategists, and go-to for a diverse clientele spanning companies such as CITI BANK, Virgin Records, UFC, Pure Photo, and Spike. proclaimed his design & development firm JrPixels among its “Best Companies of 2016.”

However, one dream remained unfulfilled until 2015.

“The dream situation of everything I’ve ever done was to eventually build a camera and create the brand to support it,” he admits. “That was always the ultimate goal in the back of my mind.”

Partnering with longtime friend and client Shahin Amirpour, he co-founded OPKIX. Based on one of Shahin’s ideas, Ryan personally envisioned and designed what would become the flagship product in Photoshop, supplying engineers with the initial blueprints. His acumen also encompasses branding, business plan, app design, overall product and content strategy, and even set design, outfitting the 9,000 square foot OPKIX studio and HQ to be the perfect backdrop for inspiration and content creation.

“I just want to create products and content that inspire future creators like so many others did for me” he says. “That’s the most important thing to me. OPKIX has given me the ultimate platform to do so.”

When he’s not filming, shooting photos or guiding the OPKIX creative vision, Ryan is a devoted husband to his college sweetheart. They spend summers volunteering at Rad Camp—a camp for kids with developmental disabilities as well as following their passion of WW2-modern era aviation.

OPKIX Co-Founder and VP Business Development Mugs McGuinness helps make dreams come true when they most need to.

Since 2004, he served as C.E.O. and Co-Founder for the 501(c)(3) FC Cancer Foundation before stepping down to join the OPKIX team. After launching the influential initiative alongside his late cousin Brandon, Mugs took the reins and built the charity into a beacon of light for thousands of terminally ill cancer patients. Working directly with GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum superstars, he orchestrates the ultimate backstage experience as part of the popular Dyin’ 2 Live Dreams program. While touring the country often five times in the span of a year, Mugs has personally linked cancer-stricken fans with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Kiss, and more, picking them up from the hospital and welcoming them backstage to “feel like the part of the crew.”

“It’s the best feeling in the world,” he smiles. “We get to take someone away from what they’re dealing with for a day and fulfill a dream. I can’t think of anything better.”

Given his unbelievable network and penchant for making connections, longtime friend Shahin Amirpour approached Mugs with the vision for OPKIX in 2016.

“When Shahin showed me the initial idea, I jumped in as soon as I could,” he says. “It’s been amazing to work on this.”

Among the initial co-founders, Mugs would secure early investors and supporters for OPKIX. Simultaneously, he’s augmenting business development and growth for the company via extending its influence throughout the worlds of music and sports.

An Orange County native, Mugs turned a lifelong passion for snowboarding into a career as a professional snowboarder until the age of 24 when he dove into FC Cancer full force. When he’s not immersed in all things OPKIX or on the road with marquee talent, you can find him spending time with his family in the California sun.
